I. LOADING FILM
Turn Lock Lever (77) on bottom of Camera from
Camera Back by pulling it to- 'L" to trO'l and open
wards bottom.
SAMOCA CAMERA can be loaded with 35mm
Daylight Loading Cartridges of any make commercially
available.
Pull end of film about 3 f inches and slide it into
the slot of Take-up Spool.
Lift Fihn Pressure Plate 04) and insert both Film
Cartridge and Take-up Spool, facing emulsion side of
film towards Lens, and turn Film Winding Knob (1)
until film is tight
and Sprocket Gear
fl6) fits the holes
of film.
Put back film-
pressure plate, slide
in and fix Camera
Back and turn Lock
Lever from ilOtl
to t/Lt/.

of film exposed

Shutter Cocking Button ot release Auto-Stop of Film
Winding Knob and turn Knob (1) towards arrow until
it stops, two times.
Turn Film Counter Dial (8) to set //O 7 at Red Dot.
The Camera is ready for use.
2, HOW TO TAKE PICTURES
Judge distance be-
tween Camera and
Object and set
Distance Scale by means
of focusing Lever (11).
Set Iris Diaphragm
Scale by turing Lens
Opening Ring 02) to
desired Stop.
Set Shutter Speed
Dial (13) on front of
Camera at desired speed with Red Dot.
Only 3 Steps needed to tal<e picture.
(1) Set Shutter Cocking Button.
(2) Wind up Film Winding Knob until it stops.
(3) Push down Shutter Release Button.
.Fihn Counter Dial (8) always indicates Film
Number automatically and prevents Double Exposures.
When using Flash Unit, fix end of electric cord to

3. UNLOADING FILM
When you have
taken all exposures,
film must be re-
wound into original
Cartridge by turning
Rewinding Knob(f)
clockwise before
unloading.

4, FIXED FOCUS
When taking snap shots, it is convenient to take
at Fixed Focus without setting Distance Scale each
time.
Set Distance Scale at 24 ft (Red Figure) and Lens
Opening at 8 (Red Figure), then any objects between
11 ft. and Inf. will be in sharp focus.
FIELD SCALE5. DEPTH OF
When reducing lens opening, depth of field increases
both in forward and in backward direction from the
distance on which lens is focused- The depth of field ' for any given lens opening and distance setting can
be correctly ascertained from the depth of field scale-
It is represented by the distance settings opposite the
two diaphragm setting figures on right and left side
of the diaphragm setting mark.
