. The lens cap automatically opens when the ON/OFF button is turned on.
. Do not force the lens cap open.
. When the camera has no film, the shutter functions but the winding and rewinding does not.
. When the camera has no battery or when the battery is almost exhausted.
. When the power button is off and the lens cap closed.
. When the zoom button is operating or when the film is winding or rewinding.
. When the film remains in the camera after rewinding.
. When the flash is being charged.
* This camera is controlled electronically by a built-in microcomputer. Althoughr"il.rijffunlikely,ffillilr'4iriilrrl it
may fail to operate under certain circumstances. In such cases, please take out the lithium
battery and put it back into the battery chamber again after 2-3 minutes.

CHECKING THE BATTERY
1. Normal operation.

2. Get a new battery ready.

3. Replace the battery with a new one.
Pictures cannot be taken in this condi-

NOTE
. The battery condition cannot be checked when the power is switched off.
. Do not remove the battery while using the camera.
Tum the power off when replacing the battery.
. lt is advisable to make a spare battery available when you are using the camera out-

. The battery will function normally again when the temperature returns to normal
temperature.

USING THE FOCUS LOC
The picture on the left, the focus mark is aimed at the building. I
ITherefore, instead of the subject, the building will be on focus.
oTo avoid disappointing pictures, aim the camera at the subject
Qand press the shutter button gently, until the green light
illuminates. (Ae careful not to press the shutter button too fiar
to avoid taking an unwanted picture.)
* You can ger an even clearer picture by aiming the'Q'mark
at the chest.
o Keeo the shutter button depressed, recompose your picture as
.) O""ir"O, and then press the shutter button all the way down.
(This will give you a clear picture of the subject.)

The red-eye phenomenon is most likely to occur when you take flash picutres in very low light.
To reduce the red-eye in flash portraits, use the pre-flash.
