* INFRA-RED FILM INDEX MARK
The peculiarities of infra-red photograhy lie in the ability of the film to "see" what
the eye cannot see. Therefore, what appears to be in focus to your eye will not be in
focus to the film.
lf you are using infra-red film the following steps should be followed:
A. Focus your lens on the subject until it appears sharpest
B. Note distance scale position in relation to prime index mark (red line with dot)
C. Rotate focus ring until previous focus reference aligns with red mark to the right
of the prime index mark
lf image appears out-of-focus in viewfinder do not correct. That is no#at for infra.
red photography.
*TRIPOD MOUNTING SOCKETS
On larger (200mm and over) accessory lenses a tripod socket is provided which
enables the lens to be mounted directly to the tripod for rock steady picture taking.

known fixed distance, line up the corresponding numbers ol the "Ft" (feet) or "M"
(meters) scale with primary index mark.
5. Zoom telephoto lenses should be used in the following manner. ln addition to the
