['t Light-level Indicator . . .
[; While looking through the Viewfinder Eyepiece (W), note
the position of the needle in the light-level bar, located in the
lower section of the Viewfinder. lf the needle is anywhere
within the bar, there's enough light for shooting. lf the needle
is out of the bar to the left, there's not enough light. . . use
your Built-in Flash (M) for "close-ups" and "groups", or
switch to a faster film. lf the needle is out of the bar to the
right, there's too much light . . . switch the Shutter Speed
Selector (A) to 1/250.

Fast-action Shots
To capture fast action outdoors, move the Shutter Speed Selector (A) to
1/250, Check the light-level indicator to determine if there is enough light
for good results.
Back Light Control
One of the basic rules of photography is to select a camera position with
the main light source at your back so that your subject is "front-lighted".
lf, however, you find it necessary to take still pictures with a strong light
source behind the subject, move the Shutter Speed Selector (A) to "BL"
(back-light) . . . the electric eye then automatically compensates for the
difference in light intensity.
NOTE: Switch the shutter speed back to 1/60 when not using the back-
light control.
Filters
lf you desire to use a filter with your Tower 39, use any Series 5 filter with
No, 507 Ednalite Filter Adapter (Sears Catalog No. 8059). For complete
information on using filters, see Sears Camera Catalog.View original page 11Page 12 · Read text
