Refl ected Light Meosuremenl
meosures from the comero position the light reflected from
the obiect to be photogrophed. Slide bock the tronslucent
roller-blind so thot the honey-comb cell con obsorb the
light reflected by the obiect. Sun, strong reflected light or
ortificiol lomps must not shine directly on to the honey-
comb cell. To ovoid this the hond moy be ploced in the
poth of unwonted light obout lS" owoy from the meter. lf
the brightness ronge is very uneven toke o reoding with
the meter held close to the most importont port of the
obiect. This close-up reoding is very importont for portroit-
ure etc. Be coreful not to shode the obiect with your own
body.

 lf your comero does not possess the light volue shutter then
you hove to.tronsfer the indicoted light volue to the "L" window
by turning the.knurled wheel on the-side of the Meter opposite
to the "1" window. By th.is meons you obtoin outomoticiily the
correct time/shutter combinotions from which you con chbose
the most suitoble for your subiect.

Color Films qnd Color Prints
Color films ore m.ode eiiher for normol Doylight or for Tungsten
]jght. Doylight hos o higher proportion of blue light roys.Tungslen light hos more red light roys. With the wrong lijht
the pictures con hove incorreCt color rendering, porti-ulorly
with reversol color film.
The volume or quontity of Blue or Red light con be determined by its
Color.Temperotuie_mecisured in degrees Ke-ivin. The more blue the light,
the highei is its Color Temperotuie: A toble on the lost poge of Tnii
instruction indicotes the octuol Color Temoeroture.
The Color Finder helps you to ludge the color content of the light.
Open the Color Finder by gently pressing ogoinst one side, dnd
compore thq red verticol field with the odiocent squore meosur-
ing fields. With blue light (doylight) one of the lower fields
oppe.ors equivolent in color to the comporison strip. With
reddish light (ortificiol light) one of the upper fields will do so.

      filters moy be ploced in front of your Comero Ldns. An en-

    of LIFA color filters monufoctured by the firm LIFA of Augs-
     burg which *Lll correct the color temperoture of the prevoili-ngt     light to suit thot of the film you ore using. A chort ior Kodo[
      filters is to be fou.nd on poge 15. Write to the SEARS Speciol
     Service Dept. for the needed-filters.
