CINE SCALE:
Motion picture cameras utilize tlrc Cine Scale which is located above the shutter speect
scale. This scale shows speeds from 8 to 64 frames per second. The appropriate
f/ stop will appear opposite each of the FPS speeds when a reading is made. Intermediate
speeds indicated by a dot are: 12-24-48.

       EV(Exposure Value) SCALE:
This exposure rneter can be used with cameras whose shutters are calibrated in EV
numbers. The correct exposure appears automatically in the window marked "EV".
$      Numbers I  through 20 are indicated.

     SOLIGOR SENSOR CDS EXPOSURE METER
The Soligor Sensor CDS Exposure Meter is a highly sensitive precision instrument
which can automatisslly determine the correct exposure for color or black and white
photography. Utilizing the ultra sensitive cadmium sulfide light cell, the Sensor Meter is
intensitY. The two sensitivity ranges cant capable of measuring great variations in light

       The two sensitivity ranges are:

5. Press the activator switch on the side of the meter. The shutter speed dial will
rotate, placing the correct shutter speed opposite the corresponding f/stop. The EV
number will appear directly in front of the opening provided on the dial.
6.Release the activator switch and the dial will be locked into position.
.' T.Check the small oval opening opposite the shutter speed "I",if 2rgd signal is visible
there is insufficient light to take a reading in the "N0R" position. Shift the sensiti-
I vity selector to the " LOW" position and repeat the above procedure.
I USING THE BEAM LIMITER:
To utilize the beam limiter for I 8'angle reading, it is necessary to:
li u. Extend the beam limiter so that the red band on it is visible.
                 IM PORTANT-
Always pull the beam limiter out fully.
                  b. Set the red reference point opposite the film speed that you are using.
                   c. Use the same procedure outlined in the previous section.
       BATTERY:
The Soligor Sensor CDS Meter is powered by a mercury battery, which has a long lifee of from one to two years. During, virtually, its entire operating life, the battery output
level is constant, dropping off sharply only just before it is exhausted.ll'1' BATTERY CHECK:
Ii' The mercury battery can be tested with the battery check button on the back of the meter.
Opposite the number 1000,on the shutter speed dial,is a square window. When the
battery check button and the meter activator switch are depressed simultaneously a red
signal will appear in the window, if the battery is exhausted.

BATTERY REPLACEMENT:
Unscrew the battery compartment cover on the back of the meter, and remove the
battery. Replace with a Mallory PX 13 or its equivalent. The positive side of the
battery must face up toward the cover. These batteries are readily available at most
camera stores.
                                                                                  ,METER CARE: Fclkus 'v/J
An exposure meter is a precision calibrated measuring instrument, which will give many
years of excellent service if handled with reasonable care. Avoid extremes in temperature
and prolonged exposure to strong light. Treat your Sensor Meter the same wayas you
would a fine camera.
