There are 4 easy steps to take good pictures. They
are simple and can be easily memorized. If they are
not adhered to. it will oqly result in poor pictures or

CONTROTTING EXPOSUR,i.
Your SPEED-O-MATIC CAMERA has a built-in
Exposure Meter (Fig. C). This exposure meter has
a series of numbers frorn I to 5. Hold the camera
about I foot fronr your eye and point it at the subject
or scene you wish to take. You will notice one or
more numbers visible in the exposure meter. The
number that you see the FAINTEST and can
identify, is the perfect setting for that particular
snapshot. Set the diaphragm (Fig. D) to match the
nunrber you identified. Your camera is now in
position for perfect exposure,View original page 8Page 9 · Read text
SNAPPING THE PICTUR,E
Your SPEED-O-MATIC CAMERA has been de-
signed to eliminate focusing. AU distances frorn 5 feet
to infinity are in good focus. For subject matter
(persons) we recommend 8 feet.
Sight your subject matter through the Finder Lens
(Fig. E) and hold the camera very steadily to your
e-ye as illustrated on the Cover of this booklet.
Press the Shutter Knob (Fig. F) rvith a slow
steady motion.
Now push the injector (Fig. B) all the way UP.
The snapshot has been taken and the sensitized film
paper is now back in its light protected film pack.
UNTOADING THE CAMERA
Each film pack will take two pictures. You have
iust taken one by following Steps l, 2 and 3. Norv
open the back of the camera (Fig. A), remove the 'useentire film pack carefully and the opposite side
to obtain the second picture. Duplicate Step I and
you can proceed to snap your second picture by
duplicating Steps 2 and 3. After you have taken
the second picture, unload the camera and you are
now ready to develop the snapshots the SPEED-O-
MATIC rvay.

HEIPFUI HINTS FOR OBTAINING GOOD RESULTS
Your SPEED-O-MATIC CAN{ERA eliminates
the use of negatives by producing pictures directly on
SPEED-O-MATIC film paper which produces 3n,
image similar to you vievving an object in the mir-
ror. This is known as a reversal process. We sug-
gest that you avoid backgrounds with lettering or
numerals.
1. Take pictures on bright sunny days. Avoid
shadows on subject's face.
2. Ne'r'er take pictures with camera facing sun-
3. Keep the lens clean by wiping with a soft clean
handkerchief.
4. Best results can be obtained while solutions are
freshly mixed.
5. Make sure Solution I is 75 degrees'at"time of use.
6. Give sufficient rinsing between STEPS.
7. To speed drying, after final washing, blot pictures
betrveen two white photographic blotters.. Under
