Battery Loading
 1. lnsert the batteries, which are supplied and packed
   separately with the camera, into the battery compart-
  ment. Otherwise, the exposure system and electron-
   ically controlled focal plane shutter will not-work,





2. Open the battery compartment cover, with a coin or
   similar object, and take off the wrappings from the
   batteries. Face the plus (+) sides of both batteries
  outwards and insert them in the battery compartment.

Setting the Film Speed
 1. lmmediately after loading the film, set the film speed
   ring to the ASA/DlN tilm speed corresponding to the
   sensitivity of the film.
  The speed will be indicated on the box and-in the in-
   structions which are packed with the film.
2. There are click stops provided for 22 ASA/DIN film
  speeds. Since all stops cannot be marked and/or
   numbered due to limited space on the ring, only the
  main film speeds are numbered. The other impor-
   tant film speed numbers are represented by lines and
   dots.
  The balance are click stops only.

Setting the Lens Speed
The maximum aperture (lens speed) of the attached lens
 must be set into the camera for correct exposure read-
 ings. (Always check upon loading film and/or exchang-
 ing lenses.)
 Revolve the lens speed compensator dial and set its
 index to a lens speed which matches that of the maxi-
mum aperture of the attached lens.
There are seven lens speeds available on the dial; name-
 ly, 1.8, (2), 2.8, (3.5), 4, (4.7) and 5.6. The  f igures in

Automatic Exposure
 1. Set the aperture ring to AUTO. The ring will be
   locked into AUfO and will not be free to rotate.
2. Revolve the shutter speed ring and set one of the
   shutter speeds from 1/50Oth to 1/8th second to the
   index mark. When hand-holding the camera, however,
  use speeds faster than 1/30 th second to eliminate
  camera shake. Choose a shutter speed suitable for
  the overall brightness or the speed of a moving sub-
  ject. Be prepared for most outdoor situations, for
  example, with ASA 100 film by setting the ring to
   11125 th second or 1125Q th second
