        owners ond users of the "SUPER tr  F2.8" comero.
          Your "SUPER  tr  F2.8"  is o  precision built conrero designed to  toke the
        35 mm film Q4 mm X  36 mm), either in the 36 or the 20 exposure moqozine
         (cossette).ir$        The comero is fiited with o   f i2.8,45mm  cooted lens which hos o remorkoble
         resolving power.    lt tokes both block-ond-whiteos well os color film.
          The  shutter  is o  newly designed "COPAL-SV"  5-blodes type with outomotic
         cocking, built-in flosh synchronizerM.X., contocts with odiustinglever ond selftimer.
        There ore 11 speeds including B, from  il second to  l/500  second. .
          Focusing is obtoined by heIcoid motion using focusing lever.  Combined view
        ond coupled ronge-findergives both compositionond focusing ot the some time

 4.  Insert the new film mogozine (cosse-
      tte)  - preferobly in subdued light; even your own shodow will help.
 5.  Hold the mogozine (cossette)in ploce with your thumb.
 6.  Push in the Film Rewinding Knob (10), rototing it slightly to moke sure thot
         it  fits in sloi of the film soool.

Setting  fhe  Exposure Counter
  Befo re   f oking picture with o  newly looded  f ilm, you  will hove to wind the
f irst port of the film by moking two preporot6ry shots os follows, Tu rn  f h e L e v e r
Wi nd e r  (l ) o s  f o r o s  it goes ond press the Shutte r R e l e o s eB u t t o n ( 6 ) .
  R ep e o t  t h is o p e rotion. Then, on  moking the   t h i r d   f u l l   t u r n o f  the Lever
Winder, lhe Exposure Counter Ql  indicotes No.   I ond you ore recdy to shoot
the first picture.
  While moking these two preporotory shots,
be sure thot the RewindingKnob ( I 0) rototes
in the counter directionindicotedby the o rrow
on the RewindingKnob. lf the RewindingKnob
( I 0) does not rotote, it meons thqt the  f ilm
wos not looded correctly. So lood it ogoin.
Before toking pictures, rotote the Rewinding
K no b ( I 0 ) slig h t lyin t he directionof the o rrow
so os to strech the film.

When the opening reduced one scole smoller, the exposure time will hove to be

{        your decision.I         When  focusing ond  composition ore  completed, gently press thg  Shutter
        ReleoseButton (7) with fore-finger. Do not [erk while mokingon exposure. Afteri       one exposure hos been mode, turn the Lever Winder  (l) os for os  it goes, ond
                 it will return to originol position when you releoseit.  lf the lever does not reiurn,I             it meons thot your film tronsport is imperfect.
         Focusing
           Focusing is  obtoined by  use  of  Focusing Lever   flol. Combined View ond
        Coupled Ronge-finder9l  gives both compositionond focusing ot the some time
         through o windowL   Correct focus is secured when the double imoges in the center circle of the
           view finder coincide exoctly. (See illustrotionon next poge.)I
          Once the imoge is correctly centered, the distonce between comero ond the
         subiect moy be found out by reoding the figure on the Distonce Scole (l I )

  Gomposing  the  Picture
    1. HORIZONTAL POSITION -   Hold the comero steodily in both honds, keeping
      your elbows pressed to your sides. Use right hond forefinger to operote the
       Shutter Releose Button  (7), ond  le{t hond forefinger ond middle finger to
      compore ond focus the obiect through the View finder.
    2. VERTICALPOSITION -   Hold the comero with your right

   zone become progressivelyblurred.  This zone of occeptobleshorp focus is colled
   the "depth-of-field" ond  is porticulorly importont to beginners when focusing ot
   very close distonces.
   Relqtion  between   Apertur€'or   Lens Openlng  qnd  "Depth-of-Field"
     Broodly speoking,the "depth-of-field" is influencedby  (l)  the distonce of the
   picture-subiectfrom the lenses ond (5) the operture or lens opening. For foirly
    distont obiect, ihe  "depth-of-field"  is generolly odequote but when focusing ot
   very close distonce,there is surprisinglylittle "depfh-of-field",ond the photogropher
   must be very corefull obout focusing his moin subiect  correctly.
     The operiure or lens opening is onother foctor which determinesthe omount of
    "depth-of-field''ovoiloble. Smoll          (high number)gives grgoter "depth-of-                                     9.n-ertule

    of shorpness.

U N L O A D I N G    T H E  F I t M

    When  your  Exposure Counter (21 indicotes thot
  you hove mode 36 exposures(or 20 os the cose moy
   be), it  is time to unlood t h e  f i i m .
     Since the exposed film hos been wound on the
   fixed spool  in the comero,  it  will be necessory to
   rewind  it bock to the spooI of the  f ilm mogozine o r
   cossette.
     This is done os follows,
       l .  P u l l u p   t h e b o r d e r o f C r o n k H o n d l e ( 1 0 ) o n  t h e
      rewindingknob ond the C r o n k H o n d l e ( . | 0 ) w i l l b e
      spring-releosedto winding position.
   2.  Turn  the  Cronk Ho n d l e  ( 1 0 )  c l o c k w i s e o f t e r
      pressing the Film Rewinding Button (20l' on  the
      bottom side of the comero.
   3. When  the  exposed  film hos been completely

  The Film Rewinding Button (18) on the bottom side of the comero will return to

Note:   Since the ExposureCounter (2) hos odvonced one index in spite of the
         foct  thot there hos been no octuol movement of  the film, it  will be
        necessory to  remember thot you hove one more exposure thon thot
        indicoted by the exposure counter.

                 G E N E R A L     I N F O R T I A T I O N

  A modern comero is o orecision instrumentmonufocturedto exoct dimensions.
Ir should therefore be hondled with greot cqre.
 t .  Don't touch the lens with fingers. Keep the lens olwoys cleon. When  it goihers
   ond dust, wipe ond cleon  it corefully with soft brush or cotton cloth.
2. Do not forget to reploce the cop when the comero is not in use.
3. When odvoncing the film, lever winder should be turned os for os  it goes.
4. When your film hos come to the end ond the lever winder no longer operotes
    or  stops in obout holfwoy, push the film rewinding button ond  let the lever
