       lf your cclmero is to be put owoy for ony length of time, olways
    remove the botteries from the bottery comporlment to prevent
   domoge (due to exhousted ond leoky botteries). In ony cqse, re-
    ploce botteries frequently to be sure thot they will hove sufficient
    voltoge to flosh the bulb. Exhousted botteries will not flosh bulbs
    properly ond con couse irreporoble domoge to your equipment.

   A. Open the bock door by unscrewing the thumbscrew (No. 4) ot
        the top reor of your comerq. Then pull the door out ond down.
   B. Pull up the film crodle ond snop o roll of 620 film onro the lwo
         film spool pins.                                                                        ;
   ' C. Sfit the gummed tope ond pull the leoder up to'the toke-up
       spool qnd threod it through the slot. Turn winder knob two {2)
        turns to insure toke up of the film.
   D. Be sure film crodfe is returned into the film well before reploc-
       ing the bock.
   E. Reploce the bock door by inserting the tongue ot the lower
       edge of the door into the slot ot the bottom inside of the comerq
      body. Now move the door into position qnd tighten thumb
       screw (No. a).
   CAUTION
   Be sure to lood ond unloqd fifm only in subdued light.

   A. Turn the winder knob in o clockwise direction while wotching
      the red window on the bqck door until the No. "l"  oppeors.
      You qre now reody to toke your first piclure.

Y TAKING A PICTURE
    Your Wittnette is designed to toke pictures indoors with flqsh
    bulbs ond outdoors with or without o flqsh. When using block
   ond white film set EV (Exposure Volue) lever ot #14. For color
     film use selting #15.
      A. OUTDOORS (wfrHour FrAsH)
     When using your cqmero outdoors best results will be obtqined
     by posing your subiect qbout l0 to 15 ft. from the comero
       with bright sunlight over your shoulder ond slightly to one side.
      The hours between l0 A.M. ond 4 P.M. will provide proper
        illuminotion of the scene. Before or qfter these hours flosh
       bulbs ore recommended. (See Porogroph Vl.) Compose using
       the brilliqnt view finder ond snop the picture by pushing the
        shutter releose knob (No. 6) gently down. Cqre must be tqken
        thot the comerq is not moved. Comero or subject motion qt this
       time will result in o blurred picture. After toking eoch picture,
       immediqtely tronsport the film to the next picture by turning
       the winder knob until the proper number oppeqrs in the red
      window.
Vl ourDooRs (wrrH FrAsH)
   More interesting pictures cqn be token with the Wittnette by
    using your flosh ottochment to "fill in" the shqdows on outdoor
    pictures qnd to provide qdditionol illuminotion on o cloudy or
    overcost doy. The flosh units will olso permit picture toking out-
    doors before or ofter the hours mentioned in Pqrogroph V. When
    using flqsh bulbs outdoors with block ond white film be sure to
    stond not more thon l0 ft. from your mqin subiect.
    Never use cleor flosh bulbs ouldoors in doylight with Kodqcolor
     film. Use oniy blue bulbs.

        Toking pictures indoors with flosh bulbs is very simple with your
       new Wittnette. Excellent block qnd white pictures cbn be obtqined
         merely by stonding 8 to 12 ft. from your subiect, composing the
          picture in the finder ond tripping the shutter releose knob (No. 6).
i$,l]     When using Kodqcolor film indoors use cleqr flosh bulbs. The

 :l:!a:irr"::li:i:lit:::::t        distonce to your subiect should not exceed 8 ft. in light colored

 ,l::jiii   :::::il:ir}       rooms. Use only cleor flosh bulbs when toking pictures indoors
         with block ond white or color film.

      A. After roking the lost picture, (No. l2 in the red wifrdow) turn
             the winder knob until the protective pqper hqs been completely
           rewound onto the toke-up spool.
       B. The bqck of the cqmerq cqn now be removed qs described in
           Porogroph lll.
       C. Remove the exposed roll of film by turning the comero over ond
            ollowing the film to drop into your hond. Turning the winder
          knob slightly will focilitote removol. Be sure to seol the roll
           with the gummed sticker qnd return it to the originol box in
          which it come, so os to prevent light from reoching the edge
          of the film prior to processing. Hove the film processed os
           soon os possible.

       CAUTION:
        Alwoys lood ond unlood your comero in subdued light-never  in
          sunlight or bright room light. Mony good pictures con be spoiled
       by light reoching the film from the edges of q loosely wound
         film roll.
