YASHICA EXPOSURE METER Model: YEM 55
HOW TO USE THE YElrr s s
 l. Turn the ASA ( Oll.t )  Seiling Knob until rhe index
   number of rhe film in use oppeors in rhe ASA
    (block figure) or DIN (red figure) window ond rhis
   index number is opposite the smoll white index
    line  ( Ottt-red index line).   F ilm speed rotings 'ore
    furnished .on instruction sheet pocked wirh  stondord
   brqnds of film.
2. Pointing lhe meler ot rhe subiecl, press fhe ON/OFF
   Switching Knob locqted ct rhe side of the m eter ond
   3et it "ON" posilion. The exposure indicotor needle
    will swing to the righr qnd when it hqs come to o
   complele slop, molch the indicotor needle wirh the
   upper guide needle by turning the Knurled   Setting
   Ring for exposure index.

the3.  Should the indicotor needle regisler less thon
                                                           rhe   EV vqlue 9 ( ASA  I OO), then must switch  lo
   "[OW" light ronge. To chonge the high ond low scqles,
   move the High/Low Setting Lever to the left unril rhe
    letter "L" oppeqrs in ihe High ond Low Indicotor Window.
4. You moy now set your comero by using ony combinqtion
                                            ( f  srop) ond shufter speeds os   of  lens-openings

CHECKING THE BATTERY CONDITION
Under normol condifions, fhe mercury bottery (Mollory
Rfif - 625, Generol No.6 25 or equivolgnt) supplied with
                                                          thelhe meter hos o life of oboul two yeqrs. Check
                                                        Presscondition of the bottery occosionolly'os followsi
the Bottery Ghecker Button locoled of the bockside of
                                                           redfhe meter. lf the indicotor needle swings to  leff
zone, fhe bottery strenglh is nol sufficient to operote
the meter qnd should bewww.butkus.usrePloced.
