ones. Your Yoshico Pentomotic offers occessories for these purposes.
For close-ups ond reproductions, you con use the Extension Tubes or

PRINCIPAT USE OF EXTENSION BEIIOWS
This device will be found most convenient in photogrophing very smoll obiects. The bellows
ollow continuous extension f rom 35 to .l40 mm, which meons thot lhe scole of reproduction
ond imoge distonce moy be chonged quickly ond without interrupting stops. The degree of
extension is morked on the Extension Scole Rod.
For toking the close-up reproductions. you con use yoshico Copying Unit with the Extension
Bellows.
SPECIAI USE OF EXTENSION BEIIOWS
You con use the Bellows Extension with the Exiension Tubes. Yoshico Extension Bellows con ,l40
extend mm, which meons you con toke o picture 2.55 times with the 55 mm normol
lens. lf you wish to obtoin o lbrger scole of reproduction, you con odd the Extension
Tubes. In this cose you con obtoin o reproduction scole of obout 3. S. For copying
documents, use of Yoshico Copying Unit is recommended.
Note : Alwoys use o tripod, ond ottoch to o tripod socket of the Extension Bellows.
You connot use the outomoiic lens opening device wiih the Extension Bellows.

HOW TO sET UP COFYING UNIT www.butkus.us
l. Open the cose of the Copying Unii, ond toke
out the Rod ond other orticles in the cose.
2. Reploce the cover from the cose ond moke the
Fixing Pins inside of the cover engoge the Fixing
Clutch of the cose. This will moke o ploiform
on which the subject will be ploced.
3. Screw one rod into the onoiher.
4. Mount the Comero Holding Arm ond Lighting
Unit to the Rod.
5. Mount ihe comero to the Holding Arm, ond you
ore reody to ioke close-ups.
Nole: Alwoys use the coble releose io eliminote
comero movement.
SPECIAT CARE FOR COPYING
l. As the depth-of -field in close-ups picture is very
shollow, speciol core must be token in exposure
iime ond lens opening. The smollest lens opening
is olwoys recommended.
2. ln cose you use the Extension Tubes or the
Bellows, you connot use the outomotic lens

ATIACHING TO MICROSCOPE
l. Toke out the eye-piece of the microscope.
2. Loosen the Fostening Ring so thot the Adoptor Ring
con eosily be put on the microscope iube, ond slip
it on the tube.
3. Tighten the Fostening Ring so thot the upper end of
the microscope tube comes on the some level os the
upper end of the Adopior Ring.
4. Put the eye-piece of the microscope in the tube.
5. Remove the lens from the comero ond mount fhe
Adoptor Ring to the

FOCUSING AND EXPOSURE
Focusing con be mode by either ihe focusing ring of ihe odoptor
ring or the focusing knob of the microscope. But in either
cose, you should toke speciol core in focusing. The use of
lighting equipment is recommended, for poor light will noke
it difficult fo focus ond the exposure time will be much lor:ger.
Since the microscope is mode for visuol observotion rolher
thon photogrophy, exposure time con be obtoined only through
triols. lt is recommended you moke three exposures, one ot
the estimoted exposure, second ot o slightly longer, ond ot
o slightly shorter exposures. Moreover, the exposure time
will be chonged by lhe type of the microscope you ore using
ond the subiect you ore to toke. Only experiences wi!l
moke you on expert in this field of phoiogrophy.
Note: Alwoys use coble releose when toking microphoio-
grophs.
It is difficult to defermine the exoct mognificoiion
roiio in microphotogrophy. However. it will be obout
113 of the mognificotion of the microscope, ond you
con moke much lorger mogniflcotion rotio using ihe
extension tubes or the bellows.

ATTACHING TO OSCITLOSCOPE
1. Attoch the Borrel to the screen of the Oscilloscope by turning the
Fixing Ring.
2. Remove the lens f rom the comero ond mouni the Adopiing Ring on the
comero.
3. Mount the lens on the comero with the odopting ring.
4. Mount the comero to the Borrel by engoging the boyonet to the one
on the Adopting Ring.
TAKING PICTURES
l. Focusing-_mode through the finder ground
gloss, by turning the focusing ring ot the end
of the Borrel.
2. Exposure-obtoined through triol ot different
exposures. lt is odvisoble to use the exposure
meter. In ordinory cose, on estimoted exposure
