Set the distonce on distonce setting ring. Th-e
depth-of-field rins indicotes the depth-of-

the come-ro is set to f/8 ond o distonce ol 20
feet (6 m), the distonce between one B ond the

The snop-shot setling
ensures shorp pictures oll the time! Work
with f/8 ond ihoose one of these two distonce
seitings:

All the usuol types of filiers con be used with
block-ond-white  films. The fllter foctor should
be token into occount by increosing the lens
operture.
For o filter foctor of x 1.5, increose the oper-
ture by holf o stop, for o x 2 foctor increose
 it bv 6ne whole siop qnd for o x4 foctor in-
crecise iI bv 2 stops.'Exomplet for o x 2 foctor
use fi5.5 in.steqd of f/8.
When usinq colour film, the moker's instruc-
tions for us6 should be followed.
Toking pictures by flosh
Connect the flosh leod of the floshgun to th-e
flosh contoct of the comero.      O

When working with  floshbulbs, the shutter
speed should be set io 1/30 sec. All shutter
speeds con be used for exposures with elec-
tionic flosh.
Set ihe operture (f/stop) to the correct figure-
obtoined from the instructions for the use of
the flosh equipment employed.
F/stop settings con olso be colculoted by the
following rule:
f/stop :  quide number divided by distonce;
for dxomp'le' guide number ll0 orid distoncel0 ft. (3 r;) :-1.|0: l0 :   fl1l. In generol, the
instruitioni given by the monufociurers of
flosh equipmint should be followed.
Using the selftimer
Aperture, distonce ond shutter speed should
be set os usuol- Time exposures on "B" setting
connot be mode.
Tension the red lever of the selftimer. Expo-
sure will toke ploce within lG-l2 secoirds
ofter oressino the releose kev. Flosh photos
.on oiro be t"oken with the sel?timer.  {@
When the film comes lo qn end ...
Tokinq the lost picture on the film outomoti-
collv"locks the'r'opid wind lever. For con-
venience's soke, hirve the film token out by
your deoler ond let him re-lood the comero
with o new ADOX film. However,  it is not ot
oll difficult to do this yourself.
First of oll, the film must be rewound into its
cossette. Press the locking knob in the bose

the rewind knob to its flrst stop ond turn it
in the direction of the qrrow. A's soon os the
rototing movement becomes noticeobly
eosier,-the film hos been rewound ond yo-u
con now let go of the locking knob.   O
Push the cotch of the comero bock downwords
ond open the bock.          @
Pull out the rewind knob to its second stop
ond remove the cossette. The locking knob
will not sprinq out oqoin until the ropid-wind
lever hos'bee-n tensi6ned ogoin.    O
How to lood your own films:
Open the comero bock, pull out the rewind
knob, insert film cossette ond push the re'
wind.knob bock ogoin.         O
Rolote toke-up spool by its milled flonge.un-til
o wide slot *ith o lui oppeors. Threod the
free end of the film into the slot ond engoge
the lug in one of the perforoiion holes. @
Continue rototinq the toke-up spool in the               -orrowciirection of the         until ihe'film is tqut
ond its perforotion engoge the teeth of the

Set the frome counter by rototing the knur-
led knob. For 36-exposure films set it to the
smoll triongle betw6en the figures 0 ond 36;
                                            (@for 2O-expo-sure films set it to 22.

Flick the ropid wind lever to the.right until
it  stops, d6press the shutter releose ond
operoie ihe rbpid wind lever ogoin. The frome
c6unter will pbint to either 36- or.20, indico-
ting the number of fromes ovoiloble for ex'
posure.
