The " 8 " exposure is used for exposuresof over 1 second. The shutter stays open
as long as the shutter button is kept depressed. The "T" exposureis used for
long eiposures. When the shutter button is pressed,it will remain depressed,even
after your finger is removed, leavingthe shutter open. By turning the shutter speed
dial slightly in either " B " or " X " direction, the shutter button snaps back into its
former oosition and the shutter closes.

Lift up the rewind crank. Put the film cartridge into the recessdirectly beneaththe
rewind crank. press the film rewind crank again to lock the film cartridge in place.
With your thumb on the knurled lower end of the take-up spool, turn the spool
c l o c kwiseu n t il t h e film is taut.

Then turn the magazineopeningkey clockwiseto "close," and return the knob to its
form:r positiori. Do not turn the magazineopening key before closingthe back cover.
Wi nd t he le ve r a n d p ress the shutter button with th e l e n s c a p o n . B y d o i n g t h i s
twice you will have cleared the two frames exposedto the light while you were load-
i n g . . . a n d t h e e x p o s u r ec o u n t e r d i a l w i l l a d v a n c et o " O " f r o m " S . " W i n d t h e
l ev er a g a in a n d yo u a r e ready for the first shot.
The film is properly loaded and transported if the rewind crank lever rotates when
the film wind lever is wound. lf the rewind crank lever does not rotate, it means
the f ilm was not loaded prop:rly. lf such is the case, take out the filin - - as
illustrated on pages 22-23 - - and reload the film.
After you have finished loading the film, be sure to set the speed of film used on
the film speed indicator window. Refer to page 15 for setting the film speed.

I wind the winding lever, and you are ready to expose for the second time on

By repeating the same operation, multiple exposurescan be obtained' By turn'
ing the film transport indicator two-and-a-halfturns, you can make a double
exposureon the film before your last one.
When the shutter button is releasedaccidentallywith the lens cap on, the film
can be rewound by using this method.
