When convenient double the calculated exposure for greater safety.
Slde Lighting and Back Lighting in Clear or Hazy Sun.
Side Lighting-add 2 units to the Light Value.
Back Lighting-add 3 units to the Light Value.
Imoortant Note
Calculated exposures should prove satitctory without modification.

Slde and Back Llghting. The best exposure for a Side or Back Lit
Subiect will depend on the pictorial importance of shadow detail and
must, to some extent, be left to the photographer's iudgement.
For dramatic lighting effeus-reduce the Light Value by I or 2 units.
For enhanced shadow dercil-increase the Light Value by I or 2 units.
Important Note
Owing to the limited exposuie latitude of reversal materials the
calcul-ated exposures must be used witl0ut modification-except
for slight adiustments which are found necessary in practice to

disc) against the Light Value (black figure in
outer circle).
Other Subiects. Set the Calculator as above.
Note position of pointer and reset disc until
the appropriate Subject Sector occupies this
position.
CALCULATOR No. 2-REVERSAL
Normal Subiect, Front Lit. Set B.S. Ex-
posure Index (green figure on disc) against the
Light Value (black figure in outer circle).
Other Subiects. Set the Calculator as above.
Note position of pointer and reset disc until
