TO CLOSE THE CAMERA:

NORMAT IENS (127 to I80 mm): ::
comero bed ond lens boord in normol position; (strufs locked in first notches, lens boord veriicol). Flip up red infinity
stops, pull stondord to stops. The red distqnce scole opplies.
IETEPHOTO IENS (240 or 270 mm):
comero bed ond lens boord in normol po:rition. Flip un green infinity siops, pull stondord to sfops.The greendistonce
scole opplies. For mm telephoto lens pull out scole stoge to secondory stop. -270
TELEPHOIO LENS 360 mm OR NORMAT IENS 210 mm ltND 240 mm:

trock lock (14) ond slide out upper trock until it snops inr,> secondory locked posltlon to llne up dlstonce Inoex lrne

For CRITICAL FOCUSING, by scole or by rongefinder, turn left or righi focusing knobs (18). The correct focusing

RANGEFfNDER FOCUSING ,
Moke sure ihot the com inserted in the shoe (31 ) motches the lens used, ond thot the lens stondord is ot the correcl
innnitv position. The comero bock must be lockeil flush ogoinsf the comero body, ond the lens boor.d in zero position.
ifn" m.jltito.ui Ronqefinder connot be used with +ilts ond swings). Two imogds ore seen through the rongefinder lowcl eyepiece: o "direcit' imoge through the upper rongefinder operture, ond o "reflected" imoge from lhe
oberture. Turn the focusing- knob (lB) until ihe direct ond ref:ected imoge hove become ONE. The lens is occurotely
fdcused when the iwo imdges coinciile in this monner. For c,:nsistently-perfect results, look stroight through the
center of the rongefinder eyepiece.
THE UPPER TRACK (34) FOR TRIPLE EXTENSION
is used for long focus lenses, ond for mocro- ond copy work. While holding down trock releose bution (14), pull oul
upper trock by'finqer qrip (35); for full extension, olio releose forword trock lock (20). Remove cqble releose from
bbbv shoe beioreixte"ndind tiock. For criticol focusing, use focusing knobs ('lB). For moximum extension, the lens
ston'dord moy be pulled oJt to the extreme front end of ihe uppei trock. To reiurn upper trock, holC down lock - (20) while pushing trock home.
CABTE RETEASE (16): (not required when Anotomicol Grip is fitted)
The pronged mount of ihe coble releose con be plugged into ihe releose shoe on ihe comero bed or on ihe comero
body obo-ve the corrying hondle. The comero moy be closed with the releose mounted on the comero bed.
THE SWINGING AND TITTING BACK:
(see l2 of illustroiion on bock cover) is releosed by loosening the four coptive screws (5), ond pressing in ond simul-
ioneously pullinq out the snop locks'(13) on boih sides of the bock frome. The entire frome con be drown bock ond,
if desireil,'be tiited up to l50 in ony direciion including the diogonol; it is locked in position by tightening the
screws (5). The bock ofiords o meoni of controlling distortion, perspective, (Architecture, Industriol Photogrophy,etc.),
or to obioin increosed depih of field withoui lhe necessity of using o smoller lens opening.
