   Your new MAXXUM 1800AF can be used with MAXXUM 5000, MAXXUM 7000 and
MAXXUM 9000 cameras. Operation is extremely simple. You just switch on the flash,
 wait a moment for  it to charge,then take the picture.
   Outstandingfeaturesof your MAXXUM 18004F:
o  Dual power sources:A 6-volt lithium battery deliversconsistentchargingand extended
 performanceor four AAA-size alkaline-manganesebatteriescan also be used.
 o TTL  Direct Autoflash Metering operates in all exposure modes. No exposure calcula-

PROGRAM MODE AUTOFLASH OPERATION
   Program mode  should be used  for
"po int-and-shoot', f lash photography. In
this  mode,  the  camera  automatically
controls exposure. No manual settingsare
required to obtain good results. To take
pictures in program mode:

   used to  lighten dark shadows that occur
  when taking pictures in bright sunlight. In
   th is case, the camera will  automatically
   control   f lash exposure and   f ill  in  the
   shadows. Th is  function   is  completely
   automatic; no manual settingsare required.                Without flash
