Installing Batteries
1. Place the  f inger nail in the groove on
   the Battery compartment cover (23),
   then slide toward the ) mark, and
   gently pull up to open the cover.

Battery Checking
Open the Lens cover (11) by fully turn-
ing counterclockwise.
Cover the photo senser eye with your
finger and depress the Shutter button(2) slightly. tf the Red LED lamp in the                  -ltlL_)                                                                                           Ciupper right of the viewf inder blinks, the            5
batteries are in operatable condition.  lf
not, the batteries are either not installed
correctly or are too weak and need

1. Slide the Back cover open knob (24)
   toward the V mark. - the Back cover    (17) will then open. (PHOTO 7)
2. Fold out and lift up the Film rewind
   crank (4) and knob assembly.
   (PHOTO 8l Placing the projecting
    side of the film cassette downward,
    insert the cassette into the Film
   chamber (22).
3. Push the crank and knob assembly
   back and turn it slightly to lock the
    cassette in place.
4. Draw the film leader across the
   camera back and insert in one of the
    slots in the Film take-up spool (18).
    Lightly pressing the film down along
   the lower Film guide rail (13), turn
   the Film advance wheel (16) till it
    stops.

5.  Press the Shutter release button (2)
    fully and turn the Film advance
   wheel to make certain that the teeth
   of the Film advance spool {19)
   properly engage to perforations on
    the film's edge. (PHOTO 9)
6. With the Film rewind crank in the
   folded out position, rewind the film
    slightly to take up any slack in the
    film cassette. (PHOTO 10)                                  I                   1cl7.  Close the Back cover (17) firmly till     6E
      it clicks.          Iil8. Advance the  f ilm by alternatively
   turning the Film advance wheel and
    pressing the shutter release button
    until the Frame counter (1) rests on
   "1" (PHOTO 11)
   Then,  if the film rewind crank does
   not turn, meaning that the film has   not advanced properly, repeat the               11
   loading procedure caref ully ensuring
    that the  f ilm leader is correctly
    inserted in the slot of  f ilm takeup
    spool.

  Frame Counter
    '1. The Frame counter (1) displays the
     number of exposures made. When
      the Back cover (1 7) is opened it auto-
      matically resets to "S".
   2. Once a film has been loaded as
      described previously, the counter
      should rest on "1", showing that the
      camera is ready for making the first
      exposure.                               12
  3. The numbers 12,20,24 and 36 are
      colored orange to indicate the ends

Advancing Film
 1. By turning the Film advance wheel
    (16) one full turn till  it stops, the
    film advances one frame. (PHOTO 13)
2. When the wheel refuses to turn at the
   end of a film, do not attempt to
    force  it further.
 Film Speed Setting
 1. The speed rating (ASA/DIN/ISO) of
                 is    the film               specified                    on the film                                    pack-                 13    age             the       or in                                      f ilm's instruction                                      sheet.
 2.  Slide the Film speed selector (7) until
    the index line aligns with the speed
    rating of the  f ilm in use.
      lf the film's speed rating has an
    intermediate value calibration, align

 Handling the Camera
. 1. As illustrated, support the camera
    with your left hand holding the lower
      left corner and your right  f inger
     lightly resting on the Shutter button.

   To prevent camera movement, press
    your left elbow lightly against your
   body and look into the Viewfinder
    steadying the camera against your
    face. The right arm should be relaxed
'   while holding the camera.
 2. When you hold the camera vertically,
    the window of  f lash unit (5) should
    be uppermost of the camera as illus-
    trated. (PHOTO 161
 NOTE: Be careful not to shield the
         photosensor eye and the flash
       window with your fingers while
         holding the camera.

Ordinary Phtography
1. Advance the film and look into the
   vewfinder window (15). Next arrange
   the subject you wish to take within
    the viewfinder's   f ield, then PartlY
    release the shutter button (2).
2.  lf the red LED indicator in the finder
    blinks, available light is insuff icient
   and use of  f lash is necessarY.3. lf the red LED indicator in the     wit
    viewf iner does not light. the camera                     17     is ready for photographing without
    flash, and just release the shutter
   button firmly.
Note: lt is impossible to focus on
subjects at less than 1 .5m distance.

1. lf the red LED indicator in the
    viewf inder blinks, use of flash is
    necessary.
2. Sliding the flash-on-button (6)
   toward the > mark, the flash head
    will pop up and charging will start
   automatically. The flash is ready
   when the flash ready lamp (14)
    lights, then press the shutter release
   button (2). Now, a flash enables you                                                            1Et   to photograph even when there is
    insuff icient light.(PHOTO 18, 19!
Note:
*When       the flash is no longer required,
 press down the flash head to the stored
 position until  it stops and clicks.
*The      distance range of the flash  is:
 in ASA100 Film speed setting 1 .5-2m
 in ASA400 Film speed setting 2-4m
*lf the ready lamp takes more than 30
 seconds to light, replace both batteries                    19
 with new ones.

Rewinding the Film
1 . When the last frame of the  f ilm has
   been exposed, the shutter button (2)
     is interlocked and film cannot
   advance. Rewind the film as follows;
2. Press down the film rewind button
    (20). Be sure to choose a place for
    rewinding              the film                  away from direct                  20         (PHOTO                       201    sunlight.
3. Fold out the film rewind crank (4)
   and turn in d   mark direction.
   When the film is fully rewound, the
   rewind crank will suddenly turn
    freely. (PHOTO 211
4. Slide the back cover opening knob
    (24) toward the V mark and open
   the back cover (17). Pull out the                                  E21
   rewind crank, remove the  f ilm
    cassette.                                                                 \5. Return the rewind crank to its
    original position and fold down the

Bladziide 7
   Plaatsen van de batterijen
  Duw het batterijdeksel met uw nagel in de richting van het I  merkje en open
   het batterijhuis (foto 3).
    Plaats 2 AAA penlight alkaline batterijen overeenkomstig de aangegeven indicaties
'  (+) (-)  in het batterijhuis en sluit de deksel (foto 4).
   Controleren van de batterijen
   Open de lenskap (rr) door rustig tegen de wijzers van de klok in te draaien. Be-
   dek de lichtgevoelige  cel met uw vinger en druk de ontspanknop licht in. Als in
   de zoeker de rode LED gaat branden zijn de batterijen correct geplaatst.
   Mocht dit niet het geval zijn dan zijn de batterijen niet overeenkomstig de pool-
    indicaties geplaatst of zijn zij aan vervanging toe (foto 5-6).
   I7anneer de lenskap is gesloten is de sluiter geblokeerd.

   Het inleggen van de fiLm
    1. Aan de linkerzijde van de camera het schuifknopie geheel naar beneden druk-
      ken naar het I  merkteken. De achterwand zal nu open gaan (foto 7).

       2. Trek de terugspoelknop omhoog en leg de film in de filmruimte (foto 8). Druk
        de terugspoelknop terug in de notmale positie, daarbij rustig aan de knop
           draaiend.
       3. Leg het beginstuk van de film in de gleuf van de spoel. Let op dat de filmperfo-
            raties op de tandies van de spoel komen.
       4. Span de filmtransporthendel en spoel de film rond de opneemspoel, waarbij u
        moet opletten dat de filmperforaties goed op de tandjes van de spoel liggen.
       J. Sluit de achterwand en druk hem stevig aan. Hij za! au,tomatisch gesloten zijn.
          Licht de filmterugspoelhendel  op, en draai hem voorzichtig in de richting van
                                                    nemen. I     6. Transporteerdde pijl, totdat hijde filmstoptenkeleom hetmalenfilmbegindoor deop ontspanknopte                                                                     in te drukken, totdat
        de eerste opname (t)  in het midden tussen 0 en 2 in het filmtellervenster ver-
  I         schijnt. De film is goed ingelegd als de terugspoelknop tegen de wijzers van de
         klok in draait, wanneer u de filmtransporthendel spant.
      Mocht de film, nadat hij door de spoel is opgenomen, slap zijn, dtaai dan de film-
       terugspoelhendel in de richting van de pijl om de film goed strak te krijgen, en
        sluit vervolgens de achterwand.
      Vermijd direkt zonlicht als u de film inlegt.
H:     S7anneer u de ontspanknop indrukt, spant u de filmtransporthendel. Als de film.

     Instellen van de FllM-gevoeligheid
    De filmgevoeligheid (ASA   DIN) is vermeld op ieder filmdoosje en op iedere      instructiebijlage. Plaats de selectieknop-           overeenkomstig het juiste ASA getal van
     de film die u gaat gebruiken. Mocht de filmgevoeligheid niet op de camera ver-
     meld staan plaats dan de selectieknop bij de dichtstbijzijnde waarde. (foto r4).

r   Gebruik van de camera
     Zoals afgebeeld, houdt de camera, met uw linkerhand vast en bedien de ontspan-
    knop met de vingers van uw rechterhand. (foto 15).
"  Om beweging, dus onscherpte te vermijden, kunt u het beste uw linker-elleboog
      als een soort statief tegen uw lichaam houden, terwijl u de camera zachtje,s tegen
   uw hoofd gedrukt houdt.
     ITanneer u de camera verticaal gebruikt moet de flitser ,.boven" zijn (foto 16).
     Let er op dat de lichtgevoelige cel en de flitser niet met uw handen of vingers
    wordt afgedekt.

Algemene fotografie
1. Kijk door de zoeker naar het onderwerp dat u wilt fotograferen en druk ver-
   volgens de ontspanknop licht in.
2. Als het rode LED-indicatielampje gaat branden is er onvoldoende licht en is
   het gebruik van de ingebouwde flitser noodzakelijk.
3. Als het rode LED-indicatielampje NIET brandt, is er voldoende licht. Druk
   rustig de ontspanknop in zijn geheel in.
t Voor goede scherpe foto's houdt een minimum afstand aan van 1.50 meter.

Gebruik van de flitser
lTanneer de ontspanknop licht wordt ingedrukt en in de zoeker brandt het rode
LED lampje, dan is i.v.m. te weinig licht flitser gebruik noodzakelijk.
Schuif de ,,FLASH ON" knop (t) naar het I  teken en de flitser zal opspringen
waardoor het opladen automatisch begint.
De flitser is gereed voor gebruik als het controle lampje brandt. Pas als dit
lampje brandt drukt u de ontspanknop in. (foto 13-19).

 Als het rode LED lampje in de zoeker niet brandt, kunt u fotograferen zonder
 flits. STordt de flitser niet meer gebruikt, duw deze dan weer teiug in zijn oor-
 spronkelijke positie.
De flitsafstand is bij een instelling op        100 ASA   1,5 m    2 meter
                         400ASA  2m     4meter
De batteriien moeten worden vervangen indien het opbranden van het controle-
lampje langer duurt dan 30 seconden.

Terugspoelen van de film
T7anneer de laatste opname is gemaakt druk dan de terugspoelknop (20) in zodat
deze in die positie blijft (foto 2O).
Terugspoelknop oplichten en in de pijl richting draaien. Ifanneer de film in z'n
geheel is teruggespoeld merkt u dit vanzelf. Het draaien gaat ineens veel lichter
(foto 21). om de achterwand te openen drukt u het schuif;e richting 2\ merk-teken. Trek de lglrrgspoelknop omhoog en verwijder de filmcassette (il-to 22).
Plaats de terugspoelknop weer in de originelepositie en sluit de achterwand. Ver-
mijd direct zonlicht bij het plaatsen en/of verwijderen van de filmcassette.
