INSTALLING BATTERIES
Use the rechargeable lithium-ion battery D-L190 (provided with the K-3. Also sold separately.)or six
AA batteries of the same type (lithium/Ni-MH/alkaline).
Pull out the battery holder.
tllit tne battery holder unlock knob. r.zrTurn the knob towards OPEN to unlock. €)putt out the
battery holder.
Insert the lithium-ion battery or AA batteries.
Position the lithium-ion battery so that the r mark points down, and insert the battery in the
orientation shown on the battery holder. For AA batteries, insert the batteries in the orientation
shown on the battery holder, taking care not to reverse the polarity (+, -).
Stow the battery holder.
Stow the battery holder by performing www.butkus.usStep 1 in reverse order.

ATTACHING THE BATTERY GRIP TO THE CAMERA

, Open the battery grip connection cover on the camera, and remove the interface
pins cap on the battery grip.
Attach the battery grip to the camera by fitting the interface pins and attachment
screw of the battery grip to the battery grip connection terminal and tripod socket
of the camera as shown above.
, Secure the battery grip by turning the attachment wheel firmly in the direction of
the arrow as shown above.
l\ cAUfloN . Make sure the camera and the battery grip are turned off before attaching'
. Leave the cap on when not using the battery grip. Do not touch the interface pins with the cap off. You can
store the interface pins cap in the cavity of the battery grip (see illustration in step 2).

EINSETZEN DER BATTERIEN
Verwenden Sie entweder den wiederaufladbaren Lithium-lonen-Akku D-L190, welcher mit der K-3 mitgeliefert
oder auch separat erhiiltlich ist, oder sechs AA-Bafterien desselben Typs (Lithium/Ni-MH/Alkali).
Fur den Lithium-lonen-Akku
'f Ziehen Sie das Batteriefach heraus.
O Heben Sie den Entriegelungshebel des Batteriefachs an. @ Drehen Sie den Hebel in
Richtung OPEN, um die Verriegelung zu losen. @ Ziehen Sie das Batteriefach heraus.
2LegenSiedenLithium-|onen-AkkuoderBatterienderGroReAAein.
Richten Sie den Lithium-lonen-Akku so aus, dass die Pfeilmarkierung a nach unten zeigt und
setzen Sie ihn dann wie auf dem Batteriefach abgebildet ein. Setzen Sie die AA-Batterien wie auf
dem Batteriefach abgebildet und unter Beachtung der richtigen Polaritdtsausrichtung (+, -) ein.
3 ScnieOen Sie das Batteriefach ein.
Schieben Sie das Batteriefach in umgekehrter Reihenfolge der Erkldrungen von Schritt 1 wieder ein.
