~ Better Cameras Than Others Sell, for Less
Money Than Others Ask
E CLAIM A RIGHT to your order for a camera for two reasons: Qualify and price. In this catalog we
W endeavor, by means of numerous illustrations and complete detailed specifications, to give you an idea of
the construction, general appearance, style and quality of the Conley cameras, Every illustration shown is
an exact reproduction of an original photograph of the camera itself; and these photographic illustrations,
together with the detailed specifications of each camera, will convey to you almost as good an idea of these cameras as
could be gained by an actual examination.
IF YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH CAMERA VALUES, our prices will speak for themselves, but if you do not
know the prices at which cameras are ordinarily sold, we want you to make comparisons before you buy. We want you to know
that the prices quoted in this catalog for Conley Cameras are just about one-half the prices quoted for cameras of correspond-
ing style and quality by any of the well known makers. We want you to know, for example, that cameras corresponding
in style and quality to our 4x5 Model XV Conley Long Focus Camera are sold by ordinary dealers at from $24.00 to
$32.00, while our price is $15.40.
IF THE WONDERFULLY LOW PRICES WE QUOTE cause you to doubt the quality, we want you to
consider the fact that under the terms of our guarantee we take all the risk. If the camera does not please you, the loss
is entirely ours and you will not be out one penny. We could not afford to allow every purchaser of a Conley
camera a thirty days’ trial and agree to return the purchase price (including all transportation charges) if we did not our-
selves know that the cameras are so good and the values so real that Conley cameras aré absolutely certain to satisfy the
purchaser.
YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO INSIST, if you buy a camera elsewhere, that your dealer give you as much for your
money as we do. Compare it carefully, detail for detail, specification for specification, with the Conley camera of corre-
sponding style, and insist upon equal value.
For example, if you are willing to pay $18.90 for a 5x7 camera, you have a right to insist that your dealer give
you a camera made throughout from genuine mahogany and covered with extra quality leather.
You have a right to insist that it be equipped with the latest style of reversible back, which means a “revolving” back.
You should insist upon getting a lens working at F:8, and so constructed that the rear combination can be used alone.View original page 3From the M. Butkus archive. Original publisher and archive notices are retained.
