HOW TO DETERMINE EXPOSURE
1. To determine the aperture to use, consult the
exposure table. Estimating the distance from the
camera to the subject to be photographed, set the
aperture according to the f ilm speed.
EXAMPLE: Assume film speed of ASA 25
             and distance6.5ft.
Set your lens aperture at f4
Assume f ilm speed of ASA 10O
             and distance 6.5 ft.
Set your lens aperture at f8.
2. lf you wish to calculate the aperture your- I self, you should use the formula below.
Guide Number * Distance = Lens Aperture
   Example: With ASA 25 f ilm at 6.5 ft............26+6.5 = t4
            With ASA 100 f ilm at 6.5 ft..........52+6.5 = f8
3. Lens aperture may vary depending on the background and the
subject. For dark non-ref lective subject in a dark background,
allow one f stop more and for bright subject in a bright back-
   ground one f stop less.
