Strob 500 Outfits

Rugged, all-weather, all-purpose, handsomely
designed high-output electronic lighting sys-
tem. Choice of 3 different power supplies plus
self-contained slave unit.

Here's the master—a professional 200-watt/sec. energy
storage portable system providing evenly distributed 7160
ECPS light output at full power, and a 2-second recharge
cycle on quarter power. Built for safe, rugged dependability
with fail-safe fingertip controls.

Features
1. Choice of 3 models:
‘Model 500RG—with nickel cadmium rechargeable battery.
Model 500AC—for continuous 117-volt AC power opera-
tion,

Model S00HV—for high-voltage dry battery operation,
Interchangeable bases permit you to tailor the power to
the need without unnecessary element duplication.

9. Color-coded pushbutton power selection: Use exact
‘amount of lighting by pressing red button for full power,
yellow for half, white for quarter, black for off. Corre
Sponding power symbols topside for reference and accu-
racy. All buttons recessed for protection.

3. Dual Outlets: Heavy-duty, moisture-resistant outlets

allow use of two lampheads at same time.

4.Slave operation: Has solid-state lamphead with patented

‘builtin trigger circuit for slave operation. Slave/shutter
‘switch lets you set lamphead to be triggered by camera
shutter or flash from another lamphead,
5.Calibrated ready light: Individually adjusted and factory
‘set to light only when firing circuit is within ¥ f/stop of
{ull power.

6.Calibr Located on rear of lamp-
head. Calibrated in feet and ASA film speeds to let you
Gial correct lens 1/stop for three different power levels
‘Accurately calibrated to ANS! (ASA) standards—no need
to add a "safety factor.” Dial keyed to match pushbutton
power selections.

7.Open flash button: Special shape of lamphead fits palm
perfectly. Index finger lays naturally over Open Flash
button for fingertip ease in light-painting a scene,

8. Wide-field deflection lens: Snap-on optional accessory
for wider light coverage. Extends 52° circle to 80° in
either horizontal or vertical plane.

9. Lamphead mounting adapter: Compact adapter in-
‘cluded for mounting lamphead on Power Top or on
Gratlex mutt-grips. Flubber battery case adapter is also
standard

10, Reinforced lamphead power cord: Coiled, 7 tt. length
with heavy-duty easy-grip connectors and’ positive-pin
‘orientation for sate, fumble-tree connect and disconnect.
Flex-relief plugs reduce stress and wear on cord.

11, Optional 20 ft. straight power cord: Extends working
range from standard 14 ft. diameter to 40 ft, Both lengths.
are detachable.

12. Exclusive automatic monitor circuit: Exclusive with
Model 500RG. Regulates cycling to provide maximum
light with minimum battery drain. Eliminates continuous
battery drain, consumes less power than vibrator circuits:
(Outlets on right and left side of top unit for simultaneous
lamphead use.

13, Molsture-root construction: Specially designed elect
cal contacts and moulded high-impact Cycolac® con-
struction give maximum reliabiity

14, Stroboflash IV compatibility: Adapters available 10
make the lampheads and packs of the Strob S00 and
Strobotlash IV interchangeable. (Cat. Nos. 2056 and
2057,)

15, Spectral Output: Matched to daylight color Film.
