THE KOLINAX TREATED AUTOMATIC FINDER

The "Kolinax" is based on the principle of the collima.iing f'1nd-ers
in which a white frame is cast on ihe- plane of the .subiect being
ohoiooraphed. This white {rame is as distinct as ihe persons or
Lblec+i whose field i+ bounds.
This clear-cut sharpness enables ihe photographer io pose his
subiect with ihe greatest accuracy.
There can be no framing error in the Kolinax, since through its
desiqn. the white frame only appears complelely and distinctly
wheri' the photographer's eye-is absolutely in the finder axis.
All optical surfaces, lenses or mirrors are treated and ihe clarity
of the finder is thus acceniuated, which is parlicularly appreciated
arefor iaking difficult piclures ; moreover, interfering reflections
absolutely eliminaled.

The quiie new design of ihe
Kolinax mechanism ensures ioge-
ther wiih hitherto unknown pre-
cision, complete auiomatic ope-
ration, thus proteciing the optical
unils from damage, yef enabling
ihe same units to be cleaned.
The chromium plated case en-
closes it completely and when
folded protects it effectively.
The really effective parallax correciion makes i+ a very high
precision instrument.

F, DEPTH OF FtEtD
The depth of field defines the limits on either side of the focussing
disfance for which subiects within them yield sharp images.
On the engraved plate of the l.P.O. shutier lhere are arranged
in the arc of a circle, to ihe right and lefi of the index mark, two
diaphragm scales for determining the depih of field.

know it, if suffices fo proceed
as follows:
  Bring under the pointer, by
rotating the lens focussing ring,
