ruin the film. The film must be put in straight.

The Super Rolls 35 M1\{. is equipped with a positive
focusing attachment for any distance from three feet to
infinity. The straight line at the base of the view finder
must be lined up with the line on the focusing ring.
Press down the lock release button. While holding in the
down position turn the focusing ring to the desired foot
marking. Release the button and again adjust the focus-
ing ring until the catch locks it in position. Your Rolls
will then be in perfect focus. For good sharp pictures,
care must be taken that the distance from the camera to
the object is carefully checked.

The aperture which regulates the amount of light that
passes through the lens onto the film is adjusted by the
iris lever ( ). This lever should be set to the "f" num-
ber corresponding to the number on an exposure meter.
If no exposure meter is available, remember that for poor
light or high shutter speeds the lowest "f" numbers are
necessary. For slower shutter speeds in brighter light,
greater depth of field can be obtained with a higher "I"
number. For time exposures consult a time exposure table.

Tho shutter speed is adjusted by setting the indicator on
top of the shutter housing to the desired speed. "2W',
means l/200th of a second, "25" is l/25th of a second
and so on. Take your pictures at the slowest shutter
speed possible to catch the action. An object moving

directly across the lens requires a higher shutter speed
than the same object moving toward the camera at the.
same rate of speed. For the higher shutter speeds, re-
member to set the diaphram at the lowest "f" number.

For taking pictures indoors with artificial light or for
taking pictures outdoors when lighting conditions make
satisfactory snapshots impossible, a time exposure will
yield satisfactory results. For time exposures set the
shutter speed indicator on either "T" (time) or "B"
(bulb). On "8" the shutter will remain open until the
plunger is released. 0n "T" the shutter iemains open
until the plunger is pressed a second time. In taking
time exposures do not attempt to hold the camera in the
hand but rest it on a tripod, table or similar firm support.

Hold the camera steadily against the face. Be particu-
larly careful when snapping the shutter that there is no
movement of the camera. Press down on the shutter re-
lease with steady, even pressure. Do not jerk the camera
in your eagerness to snap the picture. Any unsteadiness
will result in a blurred picture.
