( I ) To unlock bock cover, turn the tripod socket in the
direction morked 'O'. Then ooen the Bock Cover
by swinging it out.

by pulling out ihe Upper Film Spool Locking Spring.

Chomber.
( 5 ) Gently drow out the film leoder. Threod the film
leoder into the wider slot of the Toke-Up Spool in
the Upper Film Chomber, then turn the Film Winding

(6l Turn the Film Winding Knob until the orrow on the
film itself is odiocent to the red triongle on the
comero body. Reploce the comero bock ond lock it
in ploce.
| 7 | To close the comero bock cover, turn the tripod-
socket in the direction morked " C".
( 8 ) When the bock cover is closed ond locked, the
letter " S " oppeors in the Film Counter Window
outomot icolly.
(9 ) Then just turn the knob until the number " 1" oppeors rt in ihe window. You ore reody for your first picture.
(l0l After toking o picture, push the Film Releose Button
ond turn the Film Winding Knob so thot the Film
Counter Window shows the next number. The Film
Winding Knob will lock outomoticolly.
Coution : When looding or unlooding film stond in o
shodow-never in strong, direct sunlight.

Youf Yoshico offers M-X synchronizotion The Self-timer, for toking self-
portroits or group pictures, gives
you obout 8 seconds to get into

A stondord, overlop-type Coble Releose con be fitted to
your Yoshico. Simply unscrew the Shutter Releose Ring ond
screw in the Coble Releose. Your comero deoler will supply
the proper Coble Releose for your comero. See obove

To begin, open the Focusing Hood by lifiing it
ot the bock. Ncw point your Yoshico ot the

The Lens Aperture controls the omount of light thot will poss through the lens onto the
f ight-sensitive film. Your Yoshico-D, with its Yoshikor lens, offers openings ot f :3.5 4 5.6

Notice thot the lower the number, the lorger the opening. F 3.5 is the lorgest opening,
f :22 the smollest.
To set the lens opening, move the Aperture Control Lever to the desired number on the
Aperture Scole.

This is known os fhe " Depth-of-Field ", ond it vcries with the lens operture. The smoller the operture lhe greoter fhe Depth-of-Field; ii is much lorger ot f :22 lhon ot f :3.5. At the focusing knob is o score which will indicote the Dept,r-of-Field when the comero is focused rt vorious distonces. You will notice thot on either side of the f :3.5 figure is o similor set of numbers which represent lens opertures. When fhe comero is focused on your subiect look for the operrure you ore using on either side ;5--*-*:*-. " ,1.; of the scole to determine the Depth-of-Field. Thus, lf thel comero is focused ot l0 feet ond the lens operture is f r 8 fhe Depth-of-Field (oreo in which oll obiects ore shorp) is from obout 8 ft. to 13 ft. You con olso use the depth-of-field scole to use your Yoshico os o fixed-focus comero.
