The camera operates on a long-life, high-performance
lithium baltery. lt permits a short flash recycle time
and provides the power for exposing about 1000
frames (50% with flash) under normal conditions.

The Power Switch lurns on and ot'f the power for the
camera. With the switch on, the camera will become
ready for shooting in about 2.5 seconds.
Turn on the Power Switch In about 2.5 seconds,you

lf you use DX-coded film, the camera will
automatically set its film speed. lt will also advance
the film in position for the first shot when you press
the Shulter ReleaseButton. Alwavs load and unload
film in subdued light.

The camerawill accept DX-codedfilms with speeds
rangingfrom ISO 50 to ISO 1600 and automatically
set itselffor the sneed of the film loaded in it.
The film speedis printedon the film box.

First,flt the film cassetteonto the spindle in the
bottom of the film chamber as shown. then oush in its

Make sure the film lies flal on the film channel as
illustrated in the film chamber.

The film will automaticallyadvancein positionfor the
first shot, then siop, and the ExposureCounter will
show "1". lf the film is advancingproperly,the Film
TransporlSignal will spin. You are now ready to take
oictures.
r As soon as the film startsadvancingto the first
frame, releaseyour finger from the Shutter Release
Button.
o The Film Check Window will show you if there is
film in the cameraor not.
When the Shutter ReleaseButton is pressedafter
the Back Cover is closed (with the Exposure
Counter at "S"), the film alwaysadvancesin blank
shots to the first frame.

To take lwilight scenes or indoor mood pictures
without flash, use the NoJlash Bulton. lt will allow
you to shoot long-exposurepictures (l/8 sec.) with
ease.
lf the background is too bright in daylight, use the
Daylight Flash Bulton. Your subject will be beautifully
exposed.

When the specified number of exposures is
completed, the camera will automatically wind the film
back into its casselte and come to a slop when
rewinding is ended. All you have to do is take out the
film.

After making sure the ExposureCountershows "1"
when rewindingis ended,open the Back Cover and
take out the film. Send the exposedfllm for processing
as soon as oossible.
r The ExposureCounterreturnsto "S" when the
Back Cover is opened.
< Rewindingthe Film in Mid-Roll>
To rewind the film before it is entirelyexposed,push
the Film RewindButton with a coin.
o Do not turn the Power Switch off while rewinding
film. In case the Power Switch has been turned off by
mistake,turn the switchon and completerewindingby
depressingthe Film RewindButton again.
