The Easy, Affordable
way to Make Your
own custom Prints!
Making your own big, beautifulenlargements doesn't have to be
expensive or complicated. Beseleq the first name in darkrooms
everywhere, has designed two high-quality enlargers sized and
priced for the first-time printmaker And to go with them, Beseler
has assembled two complete starter kits that have everything else
you need to make custom color or black and white prints in no time.
The Beseler 67CP enlarger, The Beseler Printmaker 35 enlarger.
The Beseler Black and White Custom Printing Starter Kit. The
Beseler Custom Color Printing Starter Kit.
 It's fun!
Just wait untilyou see your own photograph developing before
your eyes. A photograph that you truly created, from beginning to
end. Aphotograph that's exactly the wayyou want it...because
you did it all! It's a thrill that never ends, it's fun and it's surprisingly
 easy, too!
The enlarger: how it works
The enlarger projects the negative onto the photographic paper
and allows you to make a print with the exact size and composition
which pleases you most. It has basically two controls-elevation
and focus. The elevation control determines how big or small the
print will be. The focus control allows you to keep the image sharply
focused when you change the elevation.
Differences in enlargers
Different enlargers vary in the height of the column-so you can
make bigger enlargements on some than others. There is also varia-
tion in how the light is spread over the negative; it should be just as
bright at the corners as at the center. Quality of construction is also
important, because an enlarger that vibrates won't produce a sharp
enlargement. Design plays a role in ease of use. How convenient
is it to change negatives and lenses, how precise is the focus? And
how complete is the system? Willyou be able to add accessories as
your ambitions grow?

The Beseler 67CP...
The Beseler 67CP is a quality enlarger, built in the Beseler tradition
of construction, integrity and value, but sked and priced for the
first-time print maker And it's designed to "grow" with you as you
move up to more advanced darkroom techniques. You can make
big, beautiful enlargements from any negative or slide from disc
through 6x7cm(2/q" x23/+" )-including, of course,35mm.
It provides uniform illumination even for the maximum 6 x 7cm
negative size. And the 67CP can make a borderless 11 x 14 print
on a 1" high easel from a 35mm negative. I-arger prints can be
made by simply reversing the 67CP's column for floor projection.

The Beseler Printmaker 35...
Sturdily constructed in the Beseler tradition, with conveniently
placed controls, the Printmaker 35 is idealfor the beginning dark-
room hobbyist. Used in conjunction with Kodak's EktaflexPCT@
print making products or conventional color processes, you can
make your own big, beautiful color prints quickly and easily. Like
the 67CP, the Printmaker 35 lets you make the borderless prints
up to 11" x 14" on the baseboard from negatives or slides. Tha-
Printmaker 35 may, of course, also be used fo: black and white$z
printmaking. It can be upgraded for use as a 6 x 7 enlarger.

         Advantages over other enlargers
Compare th e 67CP or the Printmaker 35 with other compgraply
prlcei enlargers, and you'llfind that both have a number of advan-
'tages, beginiing with rugged Beseler construction. This rugged
di6-cast alloy construction assures precise oPtical alignment'
Beseler's briiliant condensers provide even illumination and crisp
images for all film sizes from disc to 35mm with the Printmaker 35,
          and-up to 6 x 7cm with the 67CP. Feature for feature' the.67CP
and the Printmaker 35 embody professional quality at afford-
           able prices.
        low cost without economizing
Yes, both the6TCP and the Printmaker 35 are moderately-priced
enlargers, butwe didn't econombe onquality' In fact, you'llfind
that t6ey huu" tnany features found in more exp. ensive Beseler

Ria tne crucial negative ahd lens stages are also die-cast for per-

eliminates light leaks and dust. There's a wuing-out holder for use
with the red safety filter (included) and all other below-the-lens
               filters.
         Designed with you in mind
simply tuming a few knobs should convince you.that both the 67 cP
andihe Printmaker 35 have benefited from supizrior human engi-

Another nice touch: a big, easy-to-read elevation scale makes it
easy to record the setting at which you makea print. Interchangeable
rnup-in lensboards mean you can position the lens to make the
up"rtu." scale convenienf to read (it doesn't alwayn work out that
         way on enlargers without lensboards).
The enlargers that grow with You
Both the 67CP and Printmaker 35 used in conjunction with the
Beseler Custom Print Starter Kit equip you to make black-and-
white enlargements. But eventually, yor{tprobably get more.
