         Push the comero plug into the socket of the
         LEICAin o horizontol position; the engroved
          orrow should point towords the twin eyepiece.
        When the plug is correctly pushed in, turn it
         downwords so thot the orrow now points to
           the top. To remove the plug, turn it so thot the
          orrow  is horizontol ogoin ond points to the
           twin eyepiece.




         The required scole settingsof the synchro-diol
         depend on the type of flosh bulb used ond
         on the shutter speed required. They ore reod
             off from the following toble. (A copy of  it is
          enclosedwith every synchronizedLEICAond

The film morkeron the winding knob of the syn-
chronized LEICA is set to the speed of the film
in the comero. This is best done immediotely
ofter looding, when settingthe film counter to
zero. The film morker shows tlre film speed
in ASA ond Weston rotings.


To set the film morker, lift the milled edge of
the winding knob. For block ond white film turn
it in the directionof.theengrovedorrow ond let
itdrop into ploceotthe correctsetting.The letter-
ing will then be in white on block.For colourfilm
lift the millededge ond turn os for os required
ogoinst the direction of the orrow. The letters
ASA ond Westonore then in white on red,which
showsthot the comer<lis looded with colourfilm.
The speedfigure itselfis olwoys white on block.
