Toking lhe Reoding['
     When toking o reoding (see nexi poge) toke core not to obscure the window of the cell O.
I     The red tip of the pointer vrill then point to either o block or o white sector on the scole @.
       Troce to the left from the sector, ond reod off the oppropriote light volue on the drum @.
           lf ihe red tip of the pointer points between two sectors, you con set fhe shutter to the
       oppropriote holf light volue, ond get the most exoct exposure possible.

       Set the light volue found on the light volue scole of the shutter os described in the VITESSA
        instruction book, but note:
      o) lf your reoding gove you o whole light volue number, for instonce 10, then you shouldl.          set the red dot on the operture lever EXACTLY OPPOSITE the some number.
 t      b) ff the pointer gove you on intermediote light volue, os for instonce ?r/2, yov should set
         the operture lever BETWEEN the numbers 9 ond l0 on the light volue scole.

 order to exclude lhe lighl of brilliont clouds or the direcl sun from the
 photocell.

  lf thot should nol be possible, set lhe shuller lo one or lwo light volues
 fower, or open the operlure by one or lwo stops (e. g. ll4 or f/2.8 insteod

Artificiol Light Shots: To ovoid misleoding light volues due to direct light from lomps
      folling on the cell, it is odvisoble to toke close-up reodings.

b.      lnteriors: lf the light source is behind the comero ond no windows ore included in the

     Shof with Filters: After toking o reoding, odiust the light volue to ollow for the filter
       foctor. For o filter with o foctor of 2 reduce the light volue,by one; with o foctor of lrlz
      or 3 reduce the light volue by holf or one ond o holf respectively, ond so on.

     Colour: Toke exposure reodings in the some woy os with block-ond-white. Remember
     however thot the exposure lotitude of reversol c,olour film is very much smoller ond
      therefore the light volue must b'e determined porticulorly corefully. While fhe correction
 tf   foctors for different subject conditions ore not vitol with block-ond-white film -  os this     hos o greot exposure lotitude   fhey must be olwoys token into occount with colour shots                                        -     on reversol colour film.
