The Motor Drive MD-90 is designedfor fully integrated operation with your Minolta
(MAXXUM) 9000 autofocus SLR. High-speedversatility is the key to its design: For con-
tinuous film advanceat up to 5 frames per second, high setting can be selected.Medium and
low settings can be used for respective rates of 3 and 2 frames per second. When using
focus-priority setting, focus is adjusted between each exposure and shutter is releasedonly
when subject in focus frame is sharp.Single-frameadvanceis possibleby using "S" setting.
Available separately, either of two battery packs can be quickly attached tothe MD-90:
the Battery Pack BP-90M uses AA-size batteries, while the Ni-Cd Battery Pack NP-90M has
rechargeablenickel-cadmium batteries and is supplied with its own battery charger. Both
packsfeature shutter-releasebuttons for more comfort when holding the cameravertically.
Carefully read and follow all instructions in this manual, and keep it handy for future
reference. This way you can take full advantageof the many advancedfeatures built into
