tungsmesser,  universell verwendbor filr Obiekt- und Licht-
messung, Foto- und Kino-, Schworz-Wei8- und Forboufnohmen.

                  Reflected leighr method
The Sixtomol i con be used to meosure the light reflected
by the subiect in the direction of the comero. This is the well-
known stondord method of using o photo-electric meter (poin-      :...d
ting the meter from the comero in the direction of the subiect).

                   tncident light method
The Sixtomoi i, however, is olso copoble of meosuring the      '4
incident light folling on lhe subiect (the meter is oimed ot

the comero from the sublect position). This method is very useful
in the cose of photogrophing smoll obiects, flowers, insecfs,
subiects ogoinst beoch or snow bockgrounds. This meihod  is
especiolly usefull with ortificiol light exposures in the sludio
when  it is imperotive to obtoin o completely even distribution
of light (importont in colour photogrophy ond for the correct
plocing of spot-lights, etc.)
The very simple method of using the Sixtomot i enobles jt5
owner to find the correct solution to ony exPosure problem'

de neige etc., on peut ovec le Sixlomot  i mesurer 69olement
 lo lumidre tombont sur I'obiet.
On oeut oussi I'utiliser de cette fogon en cos de photogrophie
d lo lumidre ortificielle en otelier porticulidrement pour ob-
tenir un 6cloiroge uniforme (trds importont en cos de photo
en coUleurs et pour doser les effets de lumidre)'

Stellen Sie, bitte, zuerst lhren Sixtomot  i ouf die Empfindlich-
keii des verwendeten Filmes ein:
Der Rond des Einstellrodes (l) wird festgeholten und die
Wcihlerscheibe (2) qn der Nocke (3) so gedreht, doB der
DIN- bzw. ASA-Wert lhres Filmes unter die Kerbe (4) zu
stehen kommt. In der Abbildung  ' Einstellung ouf l8/l0o DlNl'

the film used in the comero ond this is done by holding the
 rim of the wheel (1) ond turning the diol (2) by meons of the
 button (3) so thot the DIN orASA volue of the film is ploced

                   Sensibilir6 de lo Pellicule
 Commencez por 169ler votre Sixtomot  i d'oprds lo sensibilit6
 de lo pellicule utilis6e.
 Mointenez le bord du bouton de 169loge (1) et tournez le
 disque grodue (2) o I'oide du petit ergot (3) iusqu'd ce que
 lo voleur DIN ou ASA de votre pellicule coincide crvec
 I'encoche  (4).
 Lo figure repr6senie le regloge pour 18/'l0o DIN'

Obieklmessung
 Richten Sie lhren Sixtomst  i mit v6llig geoffnetem Rollo von
der Komero her ouf dos Aufnohmeobiekt.
Sie drehen dos Einstellrod, bis ein schworzes oder rotes
Skolenfeld unter dem Zeioer steht.

                  Reflected lighr method    '
Point the Sixtomot i with fully opened shutter ot the scene
from the position of the comero. The odiustment knob is then
turned until either o block or red section oppeors under-
neoth the needle.

Dirigez votre Sixtomot i ovec volet compl6tement ouvert de
I'opporeil photogrophique vers I'obiet d  photogrophier.
Tournez ,le bouton de 169loge jusqu'ci ce qu'une section noire
ou rougb opporoisse sous I'oiguille.

fOr Photo: Die obere feststehende Zohlenreihe zeigt Be-
 lichtungszeiten  -  links, mit schworzen Ecken: Sekundenbruch-
teile, rechis: volle Sekunden - die mit den dorunterstehenden
Blenden richtige Belichtung ergeben.
fiir Kino: Blende 0ber der gewcihlten Gongzohl (Aufnohme

For "Slill" Photogrophy: The upper stotionory row of figures
represents exposure times: on the left, with block corners,
froctions of o second; on the right, full seconds. The odius-
toble row of figures represents operture numbers, ond these
in combinotion give the correci exposure.
For "Cine" Photogrophy: Reod the operture number over the
chosen film speed (fromes per second). lf o reoding hoppens
to foll between two opertures, repeot the exoct position on
the camero lens.

Pour phofogrophie: lo rong6e de chiffres situ6e en hout
d6signe les temps de pose - d gouche ovec triongles noirs
les  f roctions de secondes, o d roite les secondes entidres -
ce qui vous donne ovec les voleurs de diophrogme situ6es
en dessous les indicotions exoctes pour lo pose.
Pour le cin6mo:  lire lo voleur du diophrogme pour lo vitesse
d'imoges choisie. R6glez oussi lo comero d'opr6s les voleurs
interm6d ioires.

Beochten Sie bei der Ablesung :                                                    '
Bei schworzem Skolenfeld gelten immer schworze Blendenwerte.
Bei rotem Skolenfeld gelten rote Blendenwerle.
Wenn ober bei rotem Skolenfeld nur schworze Blendenwerte
erscheinen, gelten diese.

Mois si en cos de sections grodu6es rouges opporoissent
seulement des voleurs de diophrogmes noires, ce sont celles''
ci qui comptent.

Lichlmessung
Bei Lichtmessung offnen Sie den Tronsporentrollo bis zu den
roten Eichmorken und richien dos Instrument vom Aufnohme-
obiekt zur Komero. Die Ablesung erfolgt ebenso wie oben
geschildert.

exposure deierminotion, the tronslucent shuiter must be opened
until in registrotion with the red mork. Hold the meter next
to the sublect ond point towords the comero. The reoding is
then token in the some woy os described obove.
